This work creates an atmosphere of embodied expression, employing arcane symbolic relationships and rash mark making to communicate a personal struggle to manifest meaning. The imagery found in the work extracts meaning from the cobwebs of historical databases. A shaman and a frog skeleton, recontextualized into an expressive framework. Mark making fades in and out of self governed symbols. The paintings seek to engage while simultaneously defying the notion of a concisely stated point.
